Injection Molded DFM
A customer in the transportation industry had previously developed a design for an injection molded bus seat with an industrial design house. Upon completion of that phase of the project. it was determined that many of the components were impossible to manufacture.
ClaroWorks was then called on to conduct a DFM cycle to update the design to be manufactured by an overseas partner. This cycle maintained the industrial design intent, all while developing a structure that was both manufacturable and met APTA Procurement guidelines.
